CHARLESTON – Doris Ilene Wyatt, 80, of Charleston and formerly of Louisville, passed away at 6:15 PM, Wednesday, December 2, 2020, at her home in Charleston.
Doris was born on June 3, 1940, in Clay County, Illinois the daughter of the late Olis and Ilene (Tolliver) Holeman. She married Merl E. Wyatt, on November 15, 1964, in Louisville and they shared 30 years of marriage before he preceded her in death on May 18, 1996. Doris was a homemaker and a member of the Louisville Red Hat Society and assisted with the Clay County Genealogical Society. She helped with meals on wheels for many years, and she loved to attend her children functions. Doris was also a long-time member of the Louisville First Baptist Church.
She is survived by her children; Gene (Sara) Wyatt, of Clay City, Travis (Amy) Wyatt, of Newton, David (Amanda) Wyatt, of Johnstown, PA, Jason Wyatt, of Charleston, 8 grandchildren; Brett (Angel) Wyatt, of Fairfield, Amber (Geoff) Dunnigan, of Flora, Peyton (Lindsay) Wyatt, of Elmhurst, Reise Wyatt, of Newton, Kaitlyn Wyatt, of Pittsburg, PA, Brandon Wyatt, of Johnstown, PA, Cameron Beidel, Kailynn Beidel, 7 great grandchildren. She is also survived by 3 siblings; Alfred Holeman, of Effingham, Bill Holeman, of Louisville, and Mary Holeman, of Flora.
Mrs. Wyatt was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother; Bobby Holeman.
Funeral services honoring the life of Doris will be held at 10 AM, Monday, December 7, 2020, at the McGriff & Triplett Funeral Home in Louisville with Rev. Kelly Carruthers officiating, burial will follow at the Toliver Cemetery, rural Louisville. Visitation will be held on Sunday evening at the funeral home where friends may call from 5 to 7 PM. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Louisville First Baptist Church.
