Wilma Jenkins

Wilma E. Jenkins, age 94, of Iola, IL, passed away at 1:30pm, Saturday, August 17, 2013, at Helen's TLC Home in Farina, IL. Wilma was born Tuesday, March 4, 1919 in Xenia, IL, the daughter of William and Juanita (Haug) Onstott. She married Lester Jenkins on September 19, 1936 in Marshall, IL. He preceded her in death on May 31, 2012. She was enjoyed her time as a homemaker and truck driver. She was a member of Iola Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for nursery and preschool for 50 years. She also loved to hunt mushrooms, fish, drive her truck and go fox hunting. Wilma is survived by her sister-in-law, Marge Blair of Louisville; nephew, Ronald Onstott and wife Betty of Farina, IL; and nieces, Connie Tolliver and husband Gene of Louisville, IL, and Marsha and Karen of Fort Wayne, IN. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, by brothers (Hollis Onstott and Everet Onstott) and sisters (Mildred Fatheree and Hazel Solderquist). Arrangements are being handled by J. W. Neal Funeral Home Louisville, IL where the family will receive friends from 1:00pm to 2:00pm, Tuesday, August 20, 2013. Funeral service will be held at J.W. Neal Funeral Home at 2;00pm, Tuesday, August 20, 2013. Interment will be in Iola Cemetery, Iola, IL. Memorial contributions may be made to the Carmi Baptist Children's Home and will be recieved at the funeral home.
