Wilma Byers

Wilma D Byers, age 94 of Louisville, passed away at 5:00 pm, Monday, May 8, 2017, at Clay County Hospital in Flora. Wilma was born Monday, May 22, 1922 in Effingham County, the daughter of the late John Horner and the late Alma (Poynter) Horner. She married Howard Byers in Benton, MO in the year 1970. She was employed as a CNA by Clay County Hospital for 20 plus years and was a member of Iola Cavalry Apostolic Church. Wilma is survived by sons, Delane (Paulette) Byers of Taylorville, IL, Cleon (Dollie) Byers of Dalton City, IL, Randy (Sandy) Byers of Louisville, and Bobby (Brenda) Byers of Mason, IL, daughter, Phyllis (James) Allison of Flora; daughter-in-law, Nancy Byers of Louisville; brother, Donald Horner of Kansas City, MO; grandchildren, Kristina (Joey) Seay of Louisville, Melissa (fiancee Brad Anderson) Krantz of Louisville, Nick Byers of Cleveland, TN, Stacy Byers of Effingham, Matt (Tammy) Byers of Louisville, Brett Byers of Louisville, James (Jessica) Byers of Effingham, Chip Byers of Taylorville, IL, Wendy Byers of Phoenix, AZ, Pam (Todd) O'Brien of Mt. Zion, IL, Rodney (Cathy) Byers of Mt. Zion, IL, Wayne (Candy) Allison of Xenia, Tony Allison of Clay City; 15 great grandchildren and 12 great great grandchildren. She was preceded by her parents, husband, son Sam Byers, brother Ronald Horner and granddaughter Amanda Byers. Arrangements are entrusted to J.W. Neal Funeral Home of Louisville where the family will receive friends from 11:00 am to 12:00pm, Friday, May, 12, 2017. A celebration of life will be held at 12:00 PM noon following the visitation. Interment will be in Keen's Chapel Cemetery, Farina, IL. Memorial contributions may be made to the donor's choice and will be received by the funeral home.
