Wilma Jay Anderson, age 78, of Clay City, Illinois passed away at 10:51 am, Sunday, April 12, 2026, at the Axiom Gardens of Flora.

Miss Anderson was born on September 8, 1947, in Effingham, Illinois, the daughter of Charles H. and Elizabeth (Payne) Anderson.

She is survived by a brother: Robert Anderson; nephew: Mark (Karen) Beck; niece: Donna (Shane) Pottroff; several cousins, and 2 great nieces and 3 great nephews.

Wilma was preceded in death by her parents; brother: Donald Eugene Anderson; twin sister: Erma Ray Anderson; sister-in-law: Rose Anderson; great nephew: Cameron Beck.

Graveside services to celebrate Wilma's life will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, April 17, 2026, at the Smith Cemetery, rural Clay City with Tim Schnautz and Gene Birch officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family to assist with expenses.
