William Hanna

William "Bill" H Hanna, age 71 , of Alma, IL, passed away at 9:35pm, Friday, January 9, 2015, at his home. Bill was born July 08, 1943 in Salem, Illinois, the son of Robert Denton and Velma (Long) Hanna. He owned and trained standard bred racehorses, raised cattle and sheep; and was employed as a boiler room operator. He loved to play cards, loved traveling, watching the simpsons, going to cardinal games and loved his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is survived by his wife; Nancy (Schierman) Hanna of Alma; son, James R. "Buddy" Hanna and wife Diane of Argenta, IL; daughter, Brenda Booker and husband George of Decatur; stepdaughter, Rhonda Doyle of Tilton, IL; brother, Ray Hanna and wife Donna of Altamont; sister, Ann Tockstein and husband Carl of Knoxville, TN; grandchildren, Brittany, Tristan, Chandra, Sarah, Halie, Nicholas, Ashley, Zane, and Jericho; great grandchildren, Jackson, Brenner, and Camden; several nieces and nephews and Casey his dog. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Velma Hanna. Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home in Kinmundy, IL. Funeral Service will be at the graveside in Evergreen Cemetery in Kinmundy on Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at 11:00 am. Officiating is Carl Tockstein. Interment at the Evergreen Cemetery.
