William Demain

William Nelson DeMain, age 64 of Cairo, IL, formerly of Kinmundy, passed away at 1:44 pm, Wednesday, May 3, 2017, at Daystar Nursing and Rehabilitation in Cairo. He was born Tuesday, September 23, 1952 in Flint, Michigan, the son of the late Roland DeMain and the late Mary (Campbell) DeMain. William was employed by Burks in Mt. Vernon as a sawmill operator and enjoyed fishing. He is survived by son, Shannon DeMain of Salem; daughter, Dawn (Dennis) DeMain Lee of Kinmundy; brother, Arnold (Jean) DeMain of Kinmundy; grandchildren, Sevan Wright, Serina Lee, Ave DeMain, Cody Pearson; ex-wife Carla "Sullens" Akes of Salem and several nieces and nephews. Arrangements are entrusted to Neal Funeral Home of Kinmundy. Cremation rites will be accorded and no services will be held at this time.
