Willard L. McKinney, 87, Watson, retired Oil Poducer, passed away Friday, August 17, 2012, at St. John's Hospital, Springfield, surrounded by his family. A memorial service celebrating his life will be held at St. John's Lutheran Church, rural Louisville at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, August 20th. Visitation will be held at Neal Funeral Home, Louisville, from 5-8 p.m. on Sunday, August 19th, and at the church from 9-10 a.m. on Monday, August 20th. Interment will be at Arborcrest Cemetery, Effingham, Illinois. Memorials may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church, rural Louisville or donor's choice. Online condolences may be left at www.jwnealfuneralhome.net Mr. McKinney was born December 18, 1924, in Jasper County, the son of Elza J. and Dessie (Myrtle O'Dell Scammahorn) McKinney. He married Bonnie Julia Heiden on January 5, 1947. She preceded him in death on April 23, 1999. He married Sara Sims Klitzing December 30, 2000, and she survives in Watson, Illinois. He was a member of St. John's Luteran Church, rural Louisville. He enjoyed playing golf, playing cards, was a member of 2 motor home clubs and looked forward to spending each winter in Florida. Mr. McKinney is survived by his wife, Sara, children Dan (Linda) McKinney of Effingham, Ron (Connie) McKinney of Louisville, Bill (Barb) McKinney of Goodyear, AZ and Pat (Stanley) Kincaid of Mason, stepsons Frank Klitzing of Evansville, IN and Jesse Klitzing of St. Louis, MO. He also leaves 7 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren and 4 step grandchildren, sisters Thelma Zimdars, Mason, Sylvia Mardis, Decatur, Farrel Farris, Cocoa FL, and Nellie Blair, Decatur. He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife, Bonnie, sisters Catherine Bushue, and infant sister Vulta, and brothers Dean & Charles. Arrangements are being handled by J.W.
