HERRIN – Talisha Sue Petersen-Beehn, 43, of Herrin passed away at 10:50 p.m. Saturday, October 23, 2021, at the Herrin Hospital, in Herrin, Illinois.

Talisha was born on October 17, 1978, in Effingham, the daughter of Phillip and Susan (Muller) Petersen. She married Robert Beehn on October 13, 2013, in Cisne Christian Church. She worked for Help at Home in Carbondale as a domestic rehabilitation for youth. Talisha loved to crochet, travel, and loved a good game of Bingo. One of her greatest loves were children, she had a very kind heart for tending to the children. She was a member of the Old Union Church of Christ, Bible Grove.

Talisha is survived by her husband of 8 years; Robert Beehn, of Herrin, 4 children; John Beehn, of Herrin, Tyler Beehn, of Cisne, Ryan Beehn, of Cisne, Cheyenne Beehn, of Herrin, her mother; Susan Petersen, of Hord. She is also survived by 3 uncles and 1 aunt.

Talisha was preceded in death by her father, brother; John Petersen, and grandparents.

Graveside services honoring the life of Talisha will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 27, 2021 at the Old Union Cemetery, Bible Grove, with Jeff Mitchell officiating, and burial will follow. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Shriner’s Hospital in St. Louis. The McGriff & Triplett Funeral Home in Louisville is entrusted with the care and arrangements.  Due to health concerns related to COVID-19, it is recommended that you please wear a mask and practice social distancing.
