Steven Pinnell

Steven Edward Pinnell, 66, of Kinmundy passed away at 9:57 pm, Sunday, March 19, 2023 at his home in rural Kinmundy.

Steven was born on January 20, 1957 in Joliet, Illinois the son of Lloyd E. and Imogene M. (McCarty) Pinnell. He married Maureen Huvilla on April 8, 1978 in Joliet, Illinois and they were blessed with 3 children, then later divorced. Steve had worked for Knapp Oil in Xenia for many years as a truck driver. He had many different hobbies with some including, hunting, fishing, playing poker, watching UFC fighting, and he was the life of every party. One of Steve’s very favorite hobbies was riding his motorcycle.

Steve is survived by his children: Stephanie (Ben) Foster of Watson, Shannon Pinnell of Kinmundy, Steven E. (Alisha Ochs) Pinnell, II of Mahomet, Illinois; 12 grandchildren; 1 great grandchildren. He is also survived by two sisters: Debra Vasquez of Joliet, Illinois, and Donna Pinnell of Evansville, Indiana.

Steven was preceded in death by his parents, brother: Randy Pinnell; 2 sisters: Patricia Pinnell, and Eva Vaughn.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, March 23, 2023 at the McGriff Funeral Home in Kinmundy, where friends may call from 5:00 to 7:00 pm. Following the visitation cremation rites will be accorded. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Donor’s Choice, with envelopes available at the funeral home.
