Ruth M. Hall of Flora, IL, passed away at 10:12 am, on Saturday, January 16, 2016 at Clay County Hospital in Flora, IL. Ruth was born on November 3, 1919 in Clay County, IL to the late Albert R. and the late Zella C. (Chandler) Murphy. She married the late George C. Hall on December 14, 1945, and this union one son and two daughters were born. She was a retired school teacher with North Clay schools in Louisville and was a member of Hoosier Prairie Baptist Church. She leaves to mourn her passing, son, James (Peggy) Hall of Sun Lakes, AZ; daughters, Marilyn (Bill) Seelman of Flora, Marla (Dave) Atterberry of Coffeen, IL; brothers, Kenneth (Wilma) Murphy of Casey, IL, Wayne (Louise) Murphy of Flora; grandchildren, Manette Hall of Katy, TX, Mason (Nicole) Hall of Pontiac, IL, Jesse Hall of Hampton, VA, John (Sara) Seelman of Greenfield, IN, Emily (Andrew) Schwengel of Herrin, IL, Tracy (Phil) Klump of Hillsboro, IL, Chad (fiancee Victoria Long) Atterberry of University, MO; great grandchildren, Alivia, Brock, Alexis, Keagan, Ethan, Grace, Caroline, Emma, Benjamin, Jacob, Olivia and several nieces and nephews. Ruth is preceded in death by her parents Albert and Zella, her husband George, and two brothers, Dale and Leland Murphy. Arrangements will be handled by J.W. Neal Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Tuesday, January 19, 2016. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at 10:30 am at Hoosier Prairie Baptist Church, with a one hour visitation prior to the service at the church at 9:30 am. Interment will be at Hoosier Prairie Cemetery in Louisville. Memorial contributions may be made to Hoosier Prairie Baptist Church and will be received at the funeral home.
