Roy Link

Roy Link, 97, of Bible Grove passed away at 5:09 am on Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at Flora Gardens Care Centre in Flora. He was born on December 18, 1921 in Scranton, KY the son of the late John Henry and Mattie (Walton) Link. Roy served in the Army during WWII. He was a member of the Flora American Legion post #14 and a member of the Disabled American Veterans. He had worked for AMF in Olney for many years until his retirement. Mr. Link is survived by two sons, William Link and David (Sandy) Link both of Saint Cloud, FL; 2 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren a longtime friend Mary Lou Bloemker of Louisville and by many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 5 brothers and 3 sisters. Memorial services honoring the life of Roy will be conducted at 10:00 am on Monday, April 15, 2019 at the Old Union Church of Christ in Louisville. Gene Birch will officiate. Inurnment will follow at Bible Grove Cemetery in Bible Grove. A funeral luncheon will be served at the church immediately following services at the cemetery.
