LOUISVILLE- Rosalie Leonard, 82, of Louisville passed away at 8:25 PM, Sunday, December 20, 2020, at the Willowbrook Memory Support Residences in Effingham. Rosalie was born on February 9, 1938, in Clay County, the daughter of the late Ernest and Marguerite (VanDyke) Hawn. She married Kenneth "Gene" Leonard, on April 27, 1956, in Clay County and they shared 63 years of marriage before he preceded her in death on October 3, 2019. Rosalie was a homemaker and helped at the family farm, she was a member of the Red Brush Christian Church, Louisville, and loved to support her family, especially her grandchildren. Rosalie is survived by her 3 children; Troy (Amy) Leonard, of Flora, Rhonda (Bruce) Tolliver, of Louisville, Kendra (Roger) Birch, of Louisville, 8 grandchildren; Toby, Jada, Aszure, Whitney, Jon, Chauncey, Tyra, Andrew, and 12 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters; Lois Frost, of Altamont, Barb Blackshire, of Mt. Zion, Wilma Daugherty, of Georgia. Mrs. Leonard was preceded in death by her parents, 1 brother; Garland Shipp. Private family funeral services will be held with Brian Hamilton officiating, and burial will follow at the Orchard Hill Cemetery, Louisville.
