Robert Turner

Robert "Bob" Benhard Turner, age 89, passed away at 1:40 am, Saturday, April 7, 2012, at Flora Gardens Care Center in Flora, IL. Bob was born December 16, 1922 in Ingraham, IL, the son of Homer and Cora (Fehrenbacher) Tuner. He married Lois Myrna Hastings on May 23, 1944 in Selena, Kansas. Bob was self employed as a farmer and carpenter, and also spent time as an oil field worker. He was a faithful member of Ingraham Christian Church and also a member of the Clay City VFW. He was also a great caregiver for his wife Lois for 30 plus years. Bob is survived by sons, Tom (Margaret) Turner of Kinmundy, Tim Turner of Ingraham, Mark (Maureena) Turner of Mt. Vernon; daughters, Gail (Rich) Simer of Centralia, Anne Elledge of Portland, Oregon; brother-in-law, Murrell Johnston of Glasford, IL; 13 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, brother (Joe Turner), brother-in-law (Leo Iffert), sisters (Mary Iffert, Martha Johnston), and sister-in-law (Joanne Turner). Arrangements are being handled by J.W. Neal Funeral Home, 825 Chestnut Street ~ PO Box 68, Louisville, IL where the family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Tuesday, April 10, 2012. and from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, Wednesday, April 11, 2012. Funeral service will be at Ingraham Christian Church at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, April 11, 2012, Donna Brant officiating. Interment will be at Ingraham Cemetery, Ingraham, IL Order Flowers
