Robert Porter

Robert Lynn Porter, age 73, of Louisville, IL, passed away at 3:20am, Monday, August 5, 2013, at Lakeland Rehabiliation & Health Care Center in Effingham, IL. Bob was born Sunday, July 21, 1940 in Flora, IL, the son of Keith and Ruth (Hodge) Porter. He married Carolyn Sue Porter on October 26, 1958 in Flora, IL. He was employed by FS of Effingham/Clay as a chemical and fertilizer salesman and was a member of Red Brush Christian Church. He was a member of Red Brush Christian Church. Bob is survived by his wife Susie of Louisville; daughter, Mona Porter of Vandalia, IL , sister, Mary Patridge and husband Dan of Clay City; grandchildren, Brianne Hipp and husband Tim of Maryville, IL, Matthew Grahn and wife Joslyn of Marina del Rey, California; great grandchildren, Peyton Hipp, Zachary Hipp and Jett Hipp of Maryville, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Rita Porter. Arrangements are being handled by J.W. Neal Funeral Home, Louisville, IL, where the family will receive friends from 6:00pm to 8:00pm, Thursday, August 8, 2013. Funeral service will be held at J.W. Neal Funeral Home, at 10:00am, Friday, August 9, 2013. Interment will be at Old Union Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be sent to Red Brush Christian Church and will be received at the funeral home.
