Robert Golden

Robert E. Golden, 81, of Louisville, passed away at 8:25 pm on Sunday, August 4, 2019 at Clay County Hospital in Flora. He was born on May 31, 1938 in Murphysboro, the son of the late Ellington and Marion Ruth (Gill) Golden. Robert married his wife of 62 years Eunice Laughlin on June 2, 1957 in Flora and she survives. Mr. Golden was an area farmer, farming for over fifty years. He enjoyed photography, working with livestock and woodcutting. He was a member of Bethel Christian Church. Robert loved his family and enjoyed his grandchildren. In addition to his wife Eunice, he is survived by two sons; Benjamin (Tina) Golden of Xenia and Daniel (Jenny) Golden of Kentucky, a daughter; Deborah (Ed) Notestine of Cumming, Georgia, seven grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. No public services are scheduled. Triplett & Neal Funeral Home in Louisville is in charge of the care and arrangements.
