Raymond Lowell Pemberton, age 70, of Flora, IL, passed away Sunday, April 29, 2012, at West Park Rehabilitation Center in Evansville, IN. Lowell was born June 25, 1941 in Flora, Illinois, the son of Roy Leo and Betty Jean (Porter) Pemberton. Lowell was employed by the Flora Unit #35 School District as a teacher and coach. He was a faithful member of the First Christian Church of Flora. He was a diehard Chicago Bears and Flora Wolves fan; a member of the NRA and the National Humane Society and a past member of the Odd Fellows of Flora. Lowell is survived by his brother, Earl Pemberton and wife Marcia of Brownstown; and sister, diana Pemberton of Flora. He is preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Betty Pemberton. Arrangements are being handled by J.W. Neal Funeral Home in Louisville. Memorial Services will be held on Sunday, June 10, 2012 at 2:00 pm at the First Christian Church in Flora. Burial will be at a later date at Red Brush Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Mike Pemberton "White Fields Ministries" or Flora Sports Booster Club.
