Pauline Stonum

Pauline Mae Stonum, age 69 of Shawneetown, IL, passed away at 4:41 pm, on Wednesday, April 27, 2016, at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh, IN. Pauline was born Thursday, February 27, 1947 in Jonesboro, IL, the daughter of the late Freeman Whelchel and the late Lucille Batson Whelchel. Her companion Danny Ray Spurlin survives in Shawneetown. She was a homemaker and loved doing crafts, crossword puzzles and loving her family. Pauline is survived by sons, James (Shauna) Stonum of Kinmundy, Jeff (Garolyn) Walls of Shawneetown, IL; daughter, Angela (Paul) Nelloms of Shawneetown; brothers, Emmanuel Whelchel of Kinmundy, Leon Whelcel of Patoka; sisters, Patricia Shaw of Salem, Carol Endicotte of Shawneetown; grand children Joseph Walls, Jeffrey Walls, Alecia Walls, Justine Kilgan, Courtney Cheyenne Spurlin; great grand children Devin Walls, Morgan Walls, Cam'ron Belcher, Jordan Belcher, Levi Spurlin, Remington Spurlin, Hunter Thomas Collins, Isaac Baltimore and Julian Baltimore. She leaves to her passing, her parents, brother Roy Whelchel, sister Rose Johnston and grandchildren Derrick Walls. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Monday, May 2, 2016, at Neal Funeral Home in Kinmundy. A celebration of life will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday at Neal Funeral Home. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Kinmundy, IL. Memorial contributions may be sent to the donor's choice and will be received at the funeral home.
