Patty L. Kuhlig

Patty L. Kuhlig, 67, of Louisville, Illinois, passed away at 12:52 pm, Monday, June 17, 2024, at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh, Indiana.

Patty was born on March 5, 1957, in Clay County, the daughter of Herbert and Arlene (Kocher) Gumbel.

Patty is survived by her daughter: Nikki Kuhlig of Salem, Illinois; mother: Arlene Gumbel of Flora; sister: Katherine (Robert) Kuenstler of Noble, Illinois; her extended family: Rodney McWhorter (Britney Apke) of Dieterich, and his sons: Bowen and Coleman McWhorther. she is also survived by many nieces, and nephews.

Patty was preceded in death by her father: Herbert Gumbel; a brother: Ron Gumbel; her significant other: Bill McWhorter.

Funeral services to celebrate Patty's life will be held at 1:00 pm, Thursday, June 20, 2024, at the McGriff Funeral Home in Louisville with Ron Payne officiating. Cremation will be accorded following the service. Visitation will be held on Thursday at the funeral home where friends may call from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Patty's memory to The Stroke Foundation. The McGriff Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.
