Patsy Hord

Patsy Ann Hord, age 84, of Louisville, passed away at 11:47 pm, Tuesday, January 10, 2017, at Good Samaritan Regional Health Center in Mt. Vernon. Patsy was born, June 7, 1932, the daughter of the late Richard Cooper and the late Ola (Gray) Cooper. On December 22, 1951, she was united in marriage to Kenneth Wayne Hord, in Hord, IL. She was retired from Peerless factory in Effingham, IL, and was also an in-home caregiver for several years. Patsy loved to camp and spend time with her family. She was a member of Oak Street Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband Kenneth of Louisville; sons, Douglas W. (Patricia) Hord of Creal Springs, IL and David A. Hord of Louisville, IL; daughters, Tracey (Chris) Schoo of Brownstown, IL and Tina (David W.) Young of Flora, IL, brother, Richard Albert (Ruth) Cooper II of Flora; brother-in-law, Charlie King of Flora; sister, Audra (Glen) Mae Rosenberger of Flora; half-sister, Marjorie (John Sr.) Barnett of Lawrenceville; six grand children and ten great grand children. She is predceded in death by her parents, sisters, Lillian Marie Pyles, Bettie Jo Scott and Mary J. King. Arrangements are entrusted to J.W. Neal Funeral Home of Louisville, where the family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, Saturday, January 14, 2017. A celebration of life will follow at 12:00 PM. Interment will be in Old Union Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Clay County Home Health Nurses in lieu of flowers and will be received at the funeral home.
