Patricia Smith

Patricia (Chris) Christina Smith, age 67, of Louisville, passed away Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at 4:47 pm in Nashville, IL. Chris was born March 28, 1950 in Olney, IL the daughter of Paul and May J. (Bell) Gibson. She was self employed as an artist and was an art teacher for Frontier Community College. In addition, she also worked for the Kids Hope in Effingham as a counselor. She was a member of the Journey Church in Effingham. She is survived by daughters Jessica and Tony Sharp of Mattoon and Bridgitte Bible of Louisville; brother Peter Newton of Canada; grandchildren Rebekah Sharp, Derek Sharp, Erikah Sharp all of Mattoon, McKayla Sharp of Louisville and Chase Turner of Louisville. She is preceded in death by her parents and brothers Michael and Denny Gibson. Arrangements are entrusted to J.W. Neal Funeral Home of Louisville where the family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm, Monday, November 6, 2017. Cremations rites will be accorded and a memorial service will be held at 7:30 pm at the funeral home following the visitation Monday.
