Norman Hinkle

Norman Hinkle, 79, of Fairfield and formerly of Louisville, passed away at 8:33 pm on Saturday, July 18, 2020 at SSM Good Samaritan Hospital in Mount Vernon. He was born on December 17, 1940 in Clay County, the son of the late Pearl & Opal (Robinson) Hinkle. Norman lived at Fenney Cottage in Fairfield for several years, making friends with many of the residents and staff over the years. He enjoyed attending the Fairfield Church of God, going out for supper, taking car rides and visiting with his family. Norman is survived by his brothers; Frank (Marjorie) Hinkle of Louisville and Jerry Hinkle of Cisne, a sister; Wanda Gerber of Louisville, and by several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, great-great nieces and great-great nephews. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers; Louis Richard "Tom" Hinkle and Cecil Hinkle, a sister; Norma Jean Hinkle, a brother in-law; Lester Gerber and by two sister-in-laws; Ruth and Kay Hinkle. Graveside services honoring the life of Norman will be conducted at 11:00 am on Wednesday, July 22, 2020 at Christian Home Cemetery in rural Louisville. Carroll Ross will officiate.
