Nancy Halterman

Nancy Jo Halterman, age 65, of Kinmundy, IL, passed away at 5:42 am, Friday, July 27, 2012, at her home in Kinmundy, IL. Nancy was born January 13th, 1947 in Centralia, Illinois, the daughter of David and Katherine (Cole) Owens. She was united in marriage with Lester Halterman on June 3, 1964 in Salem, Illinois. Nancy was employed by Twin Willows Nursing Home as a housekeeper and was a member of Apostolic Church in Salem, IL. She is survived by her husband, Lester Halterman of Kinmundy; son, Dwayne Halterman of Kinmundy; daughter, Kathy Halterman and special friend Brad Easley of Salem; brothers, David Owens and wife Christine and Charles Owens and wife Pat both of Alma; sister, Delores Osterholtz and husband Monte of Kinmundy; grandchildren, Twyla and Ty Hassebrock, Melody and Adam Davis, Richard Brown and special friend Breanna Thomas, Joey Purdy and special friend Kayla Hardie, Nathan Halterman and special friend Tiffnay Carpenter, Aleea Halterman, Shawn Scarlett and wife Michelle, Brittany Easley and special friend Jake Oldham, Alisha Easley and friend Derek Sanders, and Austin Halterman; great grandchildren, Kadence, Gunner, Landon, Grant, Eli, EllieMae, Ally and Ayden; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, David and Katherine Owens and son, Ronnie Leroy Halterman. Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home in Kinmundy, IL. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Wednesday, August 1, 2012 and also 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM Thursday August 2, 2012 before the service at the Apostolic Church in Salem, IL. Funeral service will be at the Apostolic Church at 10:00 AM, Thursday, August 2, 2012, Rev. Calvin Jean officiating.
