Nadene Githinji

Nadene Muthoni Githinji, age 27, of Farina, IL, passed away at 8:14 am, Saturday, August 25, 2012, at St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham, IL. Nadene was born May 14, 1985, in Nairobi, Kenya, the daughter of Solomon E. and Connie M. (Johnson) Githinji. Nadene had been employed by Kinmundy IGA as a grocery clerk and was a member of the United Methodist Church of Farina. Nadene is survived by her parents, Solomon and Connie Githinji of Farina; twin sister, Rose Mary Githinji; sisters, Susan Githinji of Hesperia, California, and Ann Githinji of Greenville; and grandfather, Richard Johnson of Cudahey, Wisconsin. She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Nadene Johnson. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 pm, Tuesday, August 28, 2012 and also from 9:30 - 10:30 am on August 29th before the service at the United Methodist Church in Farina. Funeral Services are being handled by the Neal Funeral Home in Kinmundy and will be at the United Methodist Church in Farina at 10:30 am on Wednesday, August 29, 2012. Howard Bell officiating. Interment will be in the Alma Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family and will be received at the funeral home and at the church.
