Mary West

Mary Jane (Fopay) West, age 91, of rural Louisville, IL, passed away at 12:15 am on Saturday, March 19, 2016 at her home in Bible Grove. Mary Jane was born November 25, 1924 to Ed and Lula (Lyons) Fopay in Oskaloosa Township. She married Melvin O. West in Bible Grove, IL on April 15, 1949. During their 54 years of marriage they lived in Kansas and Louisiana then retired back home to Bible Grove after being gone 20 years. She was baptized September 2, 1937. She attended Bible Grove Christian Church, where she was a faithful life long member. She is survived by her many nieces and nephews who where like her children, whom she never had; a sister Noma Lee (Bill) Stanley of Bible Grove, sisters-in-law Janet Fopay of Flora and Lorraine West of Bible Grove; and a group of wonderful ladies who were her care givers over the past two and a half years. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Melvin in 2003 and brothers Charles Fopay and Joe Fopay. Arrangements are being handled by J.W. Neal Funeral Home of Louisville, IL where the family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Monday, March 21, 2016. A celebration of life will be held at the funeral home at 10:30 am on Tuesday, March 22, 2016. Interment will be held in Bible Grove Cemetery, rural Louisville.
