Mary Krutsinger

Mary "Ethel" Krutsinger, age 94, of Kinmundy, passed away on Friday, June 24, 2016 at 5:23pm at Doctor's Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Salem, IL. Ethel was born on April 8, 1922, the daughter of the late Emery and the late Arrilla (Synder) Simmons. On August 25, 1940, she married Hershel Eugene Krutsinger in Salem, IL. He preceded her in death on April 4, 2010. She enjoyed her time as a housewife, president of the Marion County NFO, and also worked at Twin Willows in Salem as a CNA. Ethel is survived by sons, Larry Krutsinger of Iuka, Ray (Glenda) Krutsinger of Iuka, Floyd (Pageen) Krutsinger of Salem; daughters, Marilene Hayes of Louisville, Gloria J. (Stuart) Reeder of Wilmington, IL, Arrilla Jane Krutsinger of Abbevile, AL, Della (Wayne) Donoho of Salem, Deborah (Rick) Huene of Kinmundy, Sandra (Jack) Calhoun of Arkansas; 21 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers Loren, Leroy, Ivan and Orville Simmons, sisters Mae Fry and Myrtle Branch. Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home of Kinmundy, where the family will receive friends from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm, Monday, June 28, 2016. A celebration of life will be held at the funeral home following the visitation at 12:00 pm. Interment will be held in Elder Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the First Church of God in Salem and will be received at the funeral home.
