Mary Harvey

Mary "Peggy" Pauline Harvey, age 103, of Kinmundy, IL, passed away at 6:34 am, Tuesday, May 31, 2016, at her home in Kinmundy. Peggy was born June 1, 1912 in Chariton, IA, the daughter of the late Edward and the late Ella (Cox) Rice. She married William "Cecil" Harvey in Danville, IL and he preceded her in death on October 11, 1976. She enjoyed her time as a homemaker and a member of the Eastern Star. She also attended Kinmundy Christian Church. She was a caregiver to Jr. for years; welcomed many people into her home and always insisted that they have a meal. Peggy is survived by sons, William Cecil Harvey Jr. of Salem, John (Darla) Harvey of Tulsa, OK; daughter Louise (Jim) Deweese of Philo, IL; brother, Don Parker of Danville; grandchildren, Justin Rolen of Norman, OK, Jessica Rolen of Tulsa, OK, Darren (Sonia) Deweese of Lawrenceville, GA, Anna Harvey of Stillwater, OK, Gina (Clay) Keller of Philo, IL; great grandchildren, Miah, Evan, Noah and Courtney. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband; daughter Mary Susan Harvey, brothers Ted Rice and Austin Thomen; and sister Shirley Korb. Arrangements are being handled by J.W. Neal Funeral Home, Kinmundy, IL. A celebration of life will be held graveside at Sandy Branch Cemetery in Alma, IL, at 1:30 pm, on Saturday, June 4, 2016, with interment following.
