Mary Crain

Arletha Crain, age 74, of Kinmundy, IL, passed away at 11:40 pm , Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at Salem Township Hopital in Salem, IL. Arletha was born February 20, 1939 in Meacham Township, Marion Co, IL, the daughter of Pete and Adaline (Bonham) Butts. She married Carrol Crain in Kinmundy, IL on May 30, 1957 and to this union one son and three daughters were born. She enjoyed her time as a homemaker and was of the Christian faith. She was known by everyone as "Grandma Weefy". Arletha is survivied by her husband, Carroll Crain of Kinmundy; son, Jock Crain and wife Brenda of Kinmundy; daughters, Julie Green and husband Ed of Kinmundy, Della Middleton and husband Mark of Kinmundy and Betsy O'Leary of Kinmundy; brothers, Mike Butts of Collinsville, IL, Calvin Butts of Maryville, IL, Daryl Butts of Marion, IL; sisters, Alpha Wohltman of Teutopolis, IL, Delma Bohnhoff of Dietrich, IL; 13 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, George Butts, Bob Butts and Gerald Butts; great grandchildren, Zach Braddy and Morgan Green. Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, Kinmundy, IL where the family will receive friends from 6:00pm to 8:00pm, Friday, January 3, 2014. Funeral service will be held at Neal Funeral Home, Kinmundy, IL at 10:00 AM Saturday, January 4, 2014. Interment will be at Phillips Cemetery, rural Kinmundy, IL Memorial donations may be made to Phillips Cemetery and will be received at the funeral home.
