Mark Fortman

Mark Allen Fortman, age 54, of Kinmundy, IL, passed away at 11:00 am on Tuesday, November 15, 2016, at his home. Mark was born October 4, 1962, in Centreville, IL, the son of the late Gerald Thomas Fortman Sr. and Ruth Ann (Bullard) Hickman who survives in Salem. On August 25, 2014 in Salem, IL, he married Marlin Huddleston who survives in Kinmundy. He spent his time as a truck driver for JB Hunt, and also spent time working for the city of Kinmundy. He is survived by his mother, wife, sons Mark Allen Fortman Jr. of Missouri, Lucas Fortman of Texas; daughter Jessica Fortman of Murphysboro, IL; brothers Tom Fortman of Kinmundy, Tim Fortman of Mt. Vernon, Nathan Fortman of Centralia; sisters Barbara Fortman and Nora Daugherty both of Kinmundy; and several grandchildren. Mark leaves to mourn his passing, father, daughter Samantha Fortman and brother Tony Fortman. Arrangements have been entrusted to J.W Neal Funeral Home of Kinmundy, where the family will receive friends on Monday, November 21, 2016 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. In keeping with his wishes, he donated his body to science to help in the research of cancer. Memorials may be made to the donors choice and will be received at the funeral home.
