Marjorie Ruth Boyd, age 91, of Kinmundy, IL, passed away at 6:10 pm, Friday, February 21, 2014, at the Burnsides Community Health Center in Marshall, IL. Marge was born February 27, 1922 in West Orange, New Jersey, the daughter of Peiter and Mary (Sherriffs) Vanderwolk. She was united in marriage with William Arthur Boyd on January 19, 1946 in West Orange, New Jersey. She was a faithful member of the Kinmundy First United Methodist Church and employed by the United States Postal Office in Kinmundy and Centralia as a postal clerk. She was a 60 year plus member of the Order of Eastern Star. She is survived by son, William A. Boyd Jr. and wife Anna of Mattoon; daughter, Linda James and husband John of Marshall; sisters, Corrie Johnson of Salisbury, Maryland, and Phyllis Dalrympie of Laguna Hills, California; sister-in-law, Del Vanderwolk of Laguna Woods, California; eleven grandchildren, twenty three great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, Peiter and Mary Vanderwolk; husband, William Arthur Boyd; son, James Boyd Sr. on January 18, 2014; brother, John Vanderwolk and sister Betty Pigg. Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home in Kinmundy, IL. The family will receive friends from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, Wednesday, February 26, 2014 at the Kinmundy First United Methodist Church. Funeral service will be at the Kinmundy First United Methodist Church at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, February 26, 2014, Interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery, Kinmundy, IL Memorial donations may be made to the South Central Athletic Department or Kinmundy/Alma EMT's or Donar's Choice.
