Margaret Bourland

Margaret Louise Bourland, age 89, of Tyrone, Georgia, passed away at 2:37 pm, Thursday, May 30, 2013, at Piedmont Fayette Hospital in Peachtree City, Geirgia. Margaret was born August 2, 1923 in Farina, Illinois, the daughter of Fred and Martha (Mitchell) Holzhausen. She was united in marriage with Ben Bourland and he now preceeds her in death. She was employed by the union in Las Vegas as a seamstress as well as a sewing instructor. She loved playing games with her family as well as hosting holiday dinners for friends and family. She very much loved her family and was lovingly known as Aunt Dood. She loved her Lord and enjoyed Joel Osteen as well. She is survived by her son, Robert Allen and Micki of Las Vegas, NV; daughter, Terri Ablett and husband David of Tyrone, Georgia; sisters, Eileen Marlow of Sullivan, and Mary Hood of Deland, Florida; 4 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Martha Holzhausen; husband, Ben Bourland; brothers Oren Holzhausen, Harold "Buck" Holzhausen, Ivan "Mick" Holzhausen and David "Bill" Holzhausen; sisters, Lorrayne Estes and Edna Raines. Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home in Kinmundy, IL. Funeral service will be at Elder Cemetery in Kinmundy at 1:00 PM, Thursday, June 6, 2013.
