Marcia Lou Jones, age 76, of Louisville, Illinois, passed away peacefully at 12:40 am, Friday, August 1, 2025, at the Axiom Gardens of Flora in Flora, Illinois.
Marcia was born on May 12, 1949, in Mattoon, Illinois the daughter of John Wesley and Mary (Pauley) Parker.
Marcia was a fun loving, creative, and truly caring individual. She liked reading books, playing board and card games, as well as watching her tv shows. Marcia would often reminisce about her childhood, sharing stories about her youth with her children and grandchildren. Throughout her life, Marcia ventured into multiple professions, showcasing her adaptability and determination.
Marcia's main priority was always to raise and take care of her family, providing them with love and support throughout her life. One of her favorite memories was her trip with her sister Jeanie to Yellowstone to see her nephew, Daniel. Marcia treasured her time with her grandchildren, and they always brought a smile to her face.
Marcia is survived by her 4 sons: Eric (Jessica) Jones of Xenia, Wayne (Aja Wood) Jones of Xenia, Justin (Kae Hoyt) Jones of Xenia, and Roger (Sammantha) Jones of Hawaii; grandchildren: Keaton Jones, Ayden Jones, Kennedy Jones, Ian Jones, Bruce Jones, Zoe Jones, Briar Jones, Kalvin Jones, and two more grandchildren on the way. She is also survived by: a sister Jeanie Parker of Kinmundy; sister-in-law Vicki Pannell; and many nieces, and nephews.
Marcia was preceded in death by her parents and 2 brothers: Roger Parker and John Parker.
Graveside services to celebrate Marcia's life will be held at 2:00 pm, Monday, August 11, 2025, at the Martin Cemetery, rural Alma, with Gene Birch officiating. Everyone attending the service is asked to meet directly at the cemetery just prior to service time. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to assist the family.
