Lola Smith

Lola Vivian Smith, age 78, of Louisville, IL, passed away on Tuesday, May 20, 2014 at Good Samaritan Regional Hospital in Mt. Vernon, IL. Lola was born October 29, 1935 in New Jersey, the daughter of Rayford H. Fancher and Myrtle (Lutes) Fancher. She married Richard Smith on November 08, 1975 at Louisville Methodist Church. She enjoyed her time as a homemaker. Lola is survived by her husband Richard Smith of Louisville; son, Michael (Lori) McCormick ofLouisville, step-sons, Ronnie Smith, Allen Smith and Paul Smith all of Farina; daughters, Donna Matanich of Tarpon Springs, FL, Denise (Herman) Dohms of Sun City, AZ, Ellie (Lucien) Chandler of St. Elmo, IL, Nancy (Dustin Whitis) McGivney of Louisville; sister, Wilma Fancher (Joseph) Proudfoot of Flora, IL; 21 grandchildren, 14 step grandchildren and several great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Rayford and Myrtle Fancher; brothers Harold and Russell Littell, and Donald Fancher; sister Olivett Tilton and 3 grandchildren. Arrangements are being handled by J.W. Neal Funeral Home, Louisville, IL. Cremation rites will be accorded and a private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
