Larry Lynn Morris, 81, of Salem passed away at 12:23 PM, Thursday, October 15, 2020, at the Salem Township Hospital. Larry was born on January 29, 1939, in Kinmundy, the son of the late Harold Arthur and Ida Bell (Sadler) Morris. Larry served in the US Marines in his youth, then he married Sharon Kay on May 23, 1959, and they shared 49 years of marriage before she preceded him in death on January 2, 2009. Larry was a truck driver having worked for the Central City Lumber Company, in Central City, Illinois and then for the Fisher Lumber Company in Santa Monica, California. Mr. Morris was a member of the Kinmundy Christian Church, and he loved to ride in full attire on his Harley Davidson motorcycle. He is a past member of the American Legion in Kinmundy. He is survived by children; John E. Morris, of Salem, Roger (Susan) Morris, of Salem, Ty (Kim) Morris, of California, Pamela Kay (Keith) Stillion, of California, Carmen Sue (Rick) Jarquine, of California, 14 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren. He is also survived by 1 sister; Carolyn (Oren), of Arizona, 2 brothers; Jerry (Sue) Morris, of Centralia, Kevin (Annalyn) Morris, of Springfield. Mr. Morris was preceded in death by his parents, and one infant son; Mark Lynn. Funeral services honoring the life of Larry will be held at 12 Noon on Wednesday, October 21, 2020, at the McGriff & Triplett Funeral Home in Kinmundy with Rev. Josh Conley officiating, burial will follow at the Evergreen Cemetery, Kinmundy. Visitation will be held on Wednesday at the funeral home where friends may call from 11 AM to 12 Noon. In lieu of flowers may be made to the Kinmundy Christian Church. Due to health concerns related to COVID-19, it is recommended if your attending the services please wear a mask and social distance yourself from others.
