Larry Lewis

Larry G Lewis, age 76, of Louisville, IL, passed away at 11:17am, Saturday, May 17, 2014, at the Good Samaritan Regional Health Center in Mt. Vernon, IL. Larry was born July 1, 1937 in Clay County, Illinois, the son of Eldo Woodrow and Eva (Hurd) Lewis. He was united in marriage on May 29, 1959 in Flora, Illinois to Janice Peavler and to this union were three daughters. He was employed by the Amoco Chemicals of Joliet as an operating engineer. He was an United States Veteran serving in the Army. He is survived by his wife: Janice Lewis of Louisville; mother, Eva Lewis of Kentucky; daughters, Terri McCue and husband Bill of Dwight, Illinois, Lisa Agee of Louisville, and Dina Cavanaugh and husband Mike of Kankakee; brother, Gary Lewis and wife Sue of Flora; sisters, Debra Jones and husband Donnie, and Jane Priest both of Hanson, Kentucky; grandchildren, Valerie, Kyle, Lindsay, Ryan, Tyler, Mitch, Travis and Cole; and great grandchildren, Jayden, Mackenzie, Landon, Brannon, Zane, Eva and Paisley. He was preceded in death by his father, Eldo Lewis; and brothers, Don L. Lewis and Mike Lewis. Arrangements are being handled by J.W. Neal Funeral Home, in Louisville, IL where the family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Tuesday, May 20, 2014. Funeral service will be at the J. W. Neal Funeral Home at 10:30 AM, Wednesday, May 21, 2014, Bro. Dusty Elmore officiating. Interment will be at Oskaloosa Cemetery, Xenia, IL at a later date.
