Kenneth Diss

Leon Diss, age 77, of Alma, IL, passed away at 8:03 am, Wednesday, October 16, 2013, at his home in Alma, IL. Leon was born August 12, 1936 in Kinmundy, Illinois, the son of Lowell Charles and Mildred Rose (Shaffer) Diss. He was united in marriage with Judy Lakes on July 27, 1958 at the Kinmundy Christian Church and to this union were two sons and one daughter. He was partnered with his brother in Diss Trucking and was a member of the Kinmundy Christian Church. Leon is survived by his wife, Judy Diss of Alma; sons, Kevin Diss and wife Cheri of Alma, and Jeff Diss and friend Denise Meyer of Centralia; daughter, Kathy Bainbridge of Alma; eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lowell and Mildred Diss; and brothers, Lowell Diss Jr., Darrell Diss, Jim Diss and Larry Diss. Arrangements are being handled by the Neal Funeral Home in Kinmundy, IL where the family will receive friends from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, Saturday, October 19, 2013. Funeral service will be at the Neal Funeral Home at 11:00 AM, Saturday, October 19, 2013, Dale Hunt officiating. Interment will be at Gray Cemetery, Kinmundy, IL Memorial donations may be made to the Kinmundy Christian Church and will be received at the funeral home.
