Kathleen Hayes

Kathleen Ann Hayes, 75, of rural Iola, passed away at 3:27 p.m. Wednesday, February 23, 2022 at the Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, Illinois.

She was born in Aurora, Illinois, and she worked as a clerical worker for a factory in Monette, Missouri for several years. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and reading her bible verses and reading books. She enjoyed her puzzle books too. She also attended Romine Church in Salem Illinois.

She is survived by a sister; Rose Hayes, of Farina, sisters-in-law; Flossie Hayes, of Illinois, Juanita Hayes, of Missouri.

Kathleen was preceded in death by her parents, brothers; Leslie Hayes, Ralph (Ed) Hayes, James (LeRoy) Hayes, sister; Dorothy Young, sister-in-law; Kenlyn Hayes, nieces, Dawn Hayes, Angel Hayes.

It was Kathleen’s wishes for cremation and no public services will be held at this time. Private family burial of her cremated remains will be in the Iola Cemetery at a later date.
