Joseph E. Hartman, 74 of Flora, IL, passed away at 6:43 am, Wednesday, September 10, 2014, at Good Samaritan Regional Health Center in Mt. Vernon, IL. Joseph was born Monday, January 8, 1940 in Hannibal, MO, the son of the late John and late Laura Hartman. He married Betty Harrington on September 11, 1965 at Red Brush Christian Church in Louisville, IL. He was employed by Valley Steel & Gen Mar in Flora, IL as a manufacturer. Joseph is survived by wife Betty; daughter, Cathy Hartman of Flora, IL; grandchild Cherish Lynn Cope of Flora, IL and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by infant son, Joseph Hartman and three sisters. Arrangements are being handled by J.W. Neal Funeral Home, Louisville, IL. A memorial service will be held graveside at Orchard Hill Cemetery at 1:00 PM, Thursday, September 18, 2014. Cremation rites will be accorded.
