Joseph Richard Feather

Joseph R. Feather, 96, of Kinmundy, Illinois passed away peacefully at 8:10 am, Wednesday, April 10, 2024, at his home in Kinmundy.

Joe was born on May 15, 1927, in Salem, Illinois the son of Ralph and Vivienne (Arnold) Feather. In 1945 he
enlisted in the US Army and served his Country honorably during WWII. Joe married Audrey Leone Hults on
March 10, 1955 in Kinmundy, Illinois and they shared 48 years of marriage together before she preceded him in
death on October 29, 2003. Joe dedicated his career to the railroad. He worked as a carman for several
companies before retiring with Union Pacific Railroad after 40 years. Joe was a proud member of the American
Legion, having been with the Salem, Flora, and Kinmundy Legions over the years, and he was also a member of
the Moose Lodge in Flora.

Joe is survived by his children: Cindy (Danny) Krutsinger of Alma, Trudy Webster of Kinmundy, Rick (Misty)
Feather of Kinmundy; 2 grandchildren; a sister: Evelyn Middleton of Lutherville, MD; and many nieces and
nephews.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents; son-in-law: Mike Webster; 2 sisters: Juanita Miller, and Helen Smith;
and his beloved dog: Little Girl.

Graveside services to celebrate Joe's life will be held at 11:00 am, Monday, April 15, 2024 at the Evergreen
Cemetery, Kinmundy, Illinois with James Mulvany officiating. Anyone attending the services are asked to meet
directly at the cemetery for the service at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Joe's memory
to the Kinmundy-Alma Fire Department. The McGriff Funeral Home in Kinmundy is entrusted with the care
