John Wesley Parker, age 62, of Kinmundy, IL, passed away at 9:00 pm, Sunday, April 28, 2013, at his home in Kinmundy, IL. Wesley was born March 21, 1951 in Mattoon, Illinois, the son of John Wesley Sr. and Mary (Pauley) Parker. He was united in marriage with Vicki Storck on July 30, 1975 in Mt. Vernon, Illinois. He was an United States Veteran of the Army serving in the Vietnam war. He was employed by Burlington Northern Railroad and in construction with the Henne Oil Field in Salem. Wesley is survived by his wife, Vicki Parker of Kinmundy; sons, Albert "Andy" Parker and wife Traci of Fairfield, Noah Parker of Farina, and Dylan Parker of Kinmudy; sisters, Marcia Jones of Louisville, and Jean Parker of Kinmundy; grandchildren, Andrea, Shane, and Danny Parker of Salem, Alexis, Johnathan, and Andrew Parker of Fairfield, and Serenity Parker of Farina; great grandchild, Aiden Wright of Salem; nephews, Eric, Wayne Justin, and Roger Jones, and Daniel Parker; aunts, Ellen Pergl of Salem, and Pearl Jordan of Florida; uncles, Kenneth Parker of Alma, Leonard Parker of Salem, Oliver Pauley of Humbolt, and Leonard Pauley of Mattoon. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Wesley and Mary Parker Sr.; and brother, Roger Parker. Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home in Kinmundy, IL where the family will receive friends from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, Wednesday, May 1, 2013. Funeral service will be at Neal Funeral Home at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, May 1, 2013, Dallas Bear officiating. Interment will be at Sandy Branch Cemetery, Kinmundy, IL Memorial donations may be made to the family and will be received at the funeral home.
