Inez Harrison

Inez Cozette Harrison, age 88, of Clay City, IL, passed away at 4:40 pm on Tuesday, December 3, 2013, at Flora Rehab & Healthcare Center in Flora, IL. Inez was born Monday, February 2, 1925 in Hoosier Township, IL, the daughter Homer and Dora (Pickens) Britton. On December 31, 1941 she married George Ernest Harrison in Clay City, IL. She enjoyed her time as a member of the Flora VFW and the Rebekah Lodge of Clay City. She was also a member of the Faith Lutheran Church in Flora and retired from Clay County Hospital as a housekeeper. Inez is survived by sons, George Eugene Harrison and wife Sue of Palestine, IL, Larry Dean Harrison and friend June Conard of Elizabethtown, IL, David Carroll Harrison of Louisville, IL and J.D. Harrison and wife Mitzie of Ingraham, IL; daughter, Patsy June Harrison of Clay City, IL, sister, Peggy Groves of Flora, IL; thirteen grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren. She was predeceased by parents, husband, brothers Marion Britton, Jimmy Britton, Larry Britton; sisters Anna Bell Haskell, Madge Bailey, Blanche Land, Vida Mae Newby and infant sister Joyce Sue Britton. Arrangements are being handled by J.W. Neal Funeral Home, Louisville, IL where the family will receive friends from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Sunday, December 8, 2013. Funeral service will be held at J.W. Neal Funeral Home at 2:00pm, Sunday December 8, 2013. Interment will be at Hoosier Prairie Cemetery.
