Howard Graham Colclasure, age 101, of Farina, IL, passed away at 7:00 pm on Sunday, September 20, 2015, at Centralia Manor in Centralia, IL. He was born on Saturday, September 12, 1914 at home near Oskaloosa, IL. He graduated from Flora High School in 1933 and was a lifetime resident of Clay County. Howard will be remembered as a farmer, electrician and handyman by many. He was most proud of service to his country serving in World War II from 1942-1945, where he was a part of the 6th Cavalry serving in the European Campaign. He felt it an honor to serve and wore his World War II cap daily. He was a member of Bethel Christian Church of rural Louisville and was a long time member of the Clay County Fair board. Howard is survived by four nieces Margaret Moseley of Taylorville, IL, Lorena (Duane) Pope of Mattoon, Barbara (Dale) Helpingstine of Salem, Mary Jo (Charles) Hughes of Ashely, IL; nephew, Harrison (Virginia) Colclasure of Salem, as well as many great nieces and nephews. He is also survived by a sister Pauline Stutzman of Novato, CA. He was preceded in death by his parents Guy Colclasure and Grace Graham Colclasure, his wife Violet, sisters Helen Petty and Inez Blasgen and brother Wyett Colclasure. Services will held at J.W. Neal Funeral Home in Louisville, IL with Pastor Gary Kuhlig officiating. Friends may call from 10:00 am to 11:30 am, Friday, September 25, 2015 at the funeral home with the funeral service to begin at 11:30 AM. Burial will follow at the Oskaloosa Cemetery, rural Louisville. Military rites will be accorded by the Louisville American Legion.
