Homer Headlee

Homer Lee Headlee, age 84 of Effingham, IL, formerly of Louisville, passed away on Saturday, March 28, 2015, at 8:05 a.m. at his home in Effingham, IL. Homer was born Friday, October 24, 1930 in Clay County, IL. On February 25, 1950 he was united in marriage to Kathryn Louise (Courson) Headlee in Nashville, TN. She preceded him in death on March 1, 2013. He was employed by the Local 841 of Terre Haute, IN as a heavy equipment operator as well as self employed as a farmer. He was also a member of Louisville Baptist Church. Homer is survived by son, Jay Dee (Cheryl) Headlee of Effingham; daughters, Sandy (Larry) Irwin of Jewett, IL and Lee Ann (Greg) Perry of Effingham; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and is also survived by special friend and companion Jan Johnson and her family. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Kathryn and son Robert Wayne "Bobby" Headlee. Arrangements are being handled by J.W. Neal Funeral Home, Louisville, IL where the family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM on Wednesday, April 1, 2015. Funeral service will be held at J.W. Neal Funeral Home at 3:00 PM on Wednesday, April 1, 2015. Interment will be held at a later date in Orchard Hill Cemetery, Louisville, IL.
