Helen Marie (Hout) Kessler Davison, 92, of Effingham, passed away at 3:10 p.m. on Saturday, April 11, 2020 at Lakeland Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Effingham. She was born on September 15, 1927 in Farina, the daughter of the late Cecil Ray and Carrie (Harrell) Hout. She married George Kessler on September 16, 1943, and together they had two children, Myra and Marlene. Later in life, Helen married Donald Davison on November 11, 1989 in Fort Pierce, Florida, and he preceded her in death on July 7, 2012. Helen was a beautician for many years. In her spare time, she enjoyed gardening and flowers, shopping, cooking, sewing and crocheting, and found much joy in her two cats, Roy & Callie. She was a member of the Effingham Presbyterian Church. One of her favorite trips was to the Holy Land; now she is rejoicing in Heaven. She is survived by seven grandchildren, Maria (Chuck) Oswald of Louisville, Amy (Steve) Miller of Effingham, Cara (Tim) Rinehart of Louisville, Neil (Theresa) Miller of Louisville, Dana (Michael) DeCarlo of Olathe, Kansas, Bret (Alice) Dawkins of Sullivan, and Moynell Boone of Louisville; nineteen great-grandchildren and eight great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two daughters, Myra (Kessler) Tucker and Marlene (Kessler) Kashefska; infant granddaughter, Jessica Miller; and two brothers, Delbert and Donald "Hank" Hout. Celebration of life for Helen will be conducted at a later date. The burial will be in the Honeoye Falls Cemetery in Honeoye, New York with her late husband per her request. Triplett & Neal Funeral Home in Louisville is in charge of the care and arrangements. Memorial contributions in Helen's memory are suggested to Lakeland Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Effingham.
