Helen Bible

Helen C. Bible, age 100 of Louisville, IL, passed away at 10:15 am, Sunday, January 14, 2018, at Lakeland Rehabilitation & Health Care Center in Effingham. Helen was born Friday, October 9, 1917 in Louisville, the daughter of the late Everett Ikemire and the late Irene (Farris) Ikemire. On December 25, 1935 she was united in marriage to Grover H. Bible. He preceded her in death on February 24, 1999. Helen worked at Moore's Grocery Store, the dime store, as a homemaker, farmer, and was a member of Hoosier Prairie Baptist Church and the Clay County Farm Bureau, She is survived by sons, Robert (Sandy) Bible, Phil Bible; brother, Bill (Mary) Ikemire all of Louisville; twelve grand children, twenty-seven great grand children and twenty-four great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by son, James D. Ikemire, daughter, Lois Jean Bateman, brother, Gene & Dean Ikemire, sisters, Evelyn R. Tolliver, Virginia Welch, Betty Wattles and Lillian Ikemire. Arrangements are entrusted to J.W. Neal Funeral Home of Louisville, where the family will receive friends and family from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Wednesday, January 17, 2018. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 am, Thursday, January 18, 2018 at Hoosier Prairie Baptist Church with a one hour visitation before the service from 9:00 am to 10:00 am. Interment will be in Hoosier Prairie Cemetery, Louisville. Memorial contributions may be made to the North Clay Academic Foundation and will be received at the funeral home.
