Harold Young

Harold "Pete" Dean Young, age 82, of Louisville, passed away Monday, February 12, 2018 at Clay County Hospital in Flora, IL. He was born May 7th, 1935 in Flora, the son of the late Delbert and the late Ethel Young. He was united in marriage to Aretha Robinson on June 30, 1959 in Geneva, IL. She preceded him in death on December 8, 2017. Harold was retired from Fedder's after 30 years. He was a member of North Harter Christian Church. Pete loved spending time with his children and grandchildren nd tinkering outside. He leaves to mourn his passing, sons, Harold Lee Young of Louisville, Michael Young of Flora, Delbert (Brandi) Young of Louisville, and daughter Penny (John) Gray of Louisville; grandchildren, Nate Sims of Louisville, Jessica (Boone) Baker of Terre Haute, IN, Whitney Young of Carbondale, Ethan Young of Louisville, Kenzie and Emma Robertson of Louisville; great grandchild, Jamison Young of Carbondale; special friends Clarence and Nancy Davis of Dix, IL and Bugsy and Betty Jo Lewis of Louisville. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, son Roger Bryan Young, and siblings Herbie Young, Don Young, Alma Guinn, Thelma Garrison, Erma Atherton and Veda Kincheloe. Arrangements are entrusted to J.W. Neal Funeral Home of Louisville, where the family will receive friends from 1:00pm to 3:00 pm, Sunday, February 18, 2018. A funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm following the visitation on Sunday. Interment will be held at Old Union Cemetery in Bible Grove, IL. Memorial contributions may be made to North Harter Christian Church and will be received at the funeral home.
