Gwendolyn Reid

Gwendolyn "Gwen" Sue Reid, age 66 of Farina, passed away at 10:29 pm, on Sunday, July 2, 2017, at her home in Farina. Gwen was born Thursday, October 26, 1950 in Salem, the daughter of the late Lawrence "Jerry" McCarty and the late Dorothy Mulvaney McCarty. She was united in marriage on October 2, 1970 in Centralia, IL to Robert Reid who survives in Farina. She was employed by the Kinmundy Truck Stop and loved to mushroom hunt and crappie fish. Gwen is survived by her husband, sons, Robby Reid and friend Robin Tate of Farina, Eric and Crystal Reid of Louisville, Kevin and Bobbie Reid of Kinmundy and Brian and Guadalupe Reid of Kinmundy; daughters, Chrystal Reid and fiancee Paul Smith of Kinmundy, Jessica Reid and fiancee Chris Patten of Kinmundy; brothers, Ronnie and Roger McCarty both of Farina; sister, Rhonda Julius of Kinmundy; 15 grand children and 1 great grand child. She was preceded by her parents, brother, Bobby McCarty and sister, Gloria Miselbrock. Arrangements are entrusted to Neal Funeral Home of Kinmundy. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm, Thursday, July 6, 2017 at Phillips Cemetery in Kinmundy.
