Georgie Nolan

Georgie Ann Nolan, age 70, of Kinmundy, IL passed away at 7:00 pm on Sunday, March 27, 2016, at her home in Kinmundy, IL Georgie was born Saturday, June 23, 1945 in Whitwell, TN, the daughter of the late George Stephenson Nolan and the late Josie Irene (Van Hoosier) Nolan. She was married to Donald Ray Hickam but was later divorced, and to this union one son and two daughters were born. She was self employed as a caregiver for many years and also owned the "Curve" restaurant in Kinmundy for several years. Georgie is survived by son, Matthew Hickam of Farina, IL; daughter, Mae (Darryl) McNamee of Glen Carbon, IL; son-in-law, Jim Butts of Kinmundy; sister, Nancy Hackney of Kansas; grand children, Megan and Maci McNamee of Glen Carbon, IL, Raeann Ashley of Kinmundy, Brittani and Trevor Butts of Kinmundy, Travis and Tessla Moeller of Altamont; great grandchildren, Treyden and Braxton Moeller, Raven Hollingshead and Greyson Butts. She was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter Lorretta Butts, and brothers Bobby Nolan and Steve Nolan. Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home of Kinmundy. The family will receive friends from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Saturday, April 2, 2016 at Kinmundy First United Methodist Church. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, April 2, 2016 at Kinmundy First United Methodist Church. Cremation rites will be accorded and a private family burial will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the family or to the Kinmundy Neighborhood Food Pantry and will be received at the funeral home.
