Genelle Finazzo

Genelle A. Finazzo, 95, of Biloxi, Mississippi and formerly of Louisville, passed away at 9:34 am on Saturday, April 20, 2019 at Merit Hospital in Biloxi. She was born on August 14, 1923 the daughter of the late Frank and Billie (Burkett) Smith. She married Louis Finazzo in 1967 and he preceded her in death on February 1, 1994. Mrs. Finazzo was a self-employed accountant for many years until her retirement. In her spare time, she enjoyed tending to her dogs and birds and visiting with her family and friends. She is survived by a sister, Vera Harper of Alton, a niece, Jan and husband Billy Settles of Elizabeth, Arkansas, a nephew, Doug and wife Brenda Harp of Jacksonville, Illinois and by many cousins and good friends. Funeral services honoring the life of Genelle will be conducted at 1:30 pm on Friday, April 26, 2019 at the Triplett & Neal Funeral Home in Louisville. Pastor Sonny Renken will officiate. Interment will follow at Orchard Hill Cemetery in Louisville. Visitation will be held from 12:30 pm until the time of services on Friday. Memorial contributions in Genelle's memory are suggested to the North Alton Baptist Church, 2245 State Street, Alton, Illinois 62002.
