Francis Smith

Francis "Fran" Mae Smith, age 69, of Louisville, IL, went to be with the Lord on Monday, December 8, 2014, at Flora Rehab & Healthcare Center in Flora, IL. Fran was born August 19, 1945 in Farina, Illinois of Fayette County, the daughter of Ray and Wilma (Rethorn) Hill. She was united in marriage with Paul E. Smith on March 04, 1967 at the First Christian Church in Louisville, and to this union four daughters were born. She was self employed as a beautician and also as a deli associate at the Buehler's IGA in Flora. She was a member of Orchardville Community Church. Fran is survived by her husband, Paul Smith of Louisville; daughters, Shana Engel and husband Harold of Kirksville, MO, Shara McCrary and husband Elton of Louisville, and Susan Fleener and husband Justin of Bible Grove; sister, Connie Pegues of Peoria and nine grandchldren and one great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Wilma Hill; infant daughter, Sharon Lynn Smith and sister, Karen Gesell. Arrangements are being handled by J.W. Neal Funeral Home in Louisville, IL where the family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, Thursday, December 11, 2014. Funeral service will be at J. W. Neal Funeral Home at 11:00 AM, Thursday, December 11, 2014, Mark Shell officiating. Interment will be at Oskaloosa Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Orchardville Community Church and will be received at the funeral home or church.
