Evea Powell

Evea Louise Powell, age 74, of Louisville, Illinois passed away on Wednesday, May 21, 2014, at St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham, Illinois. Evea was born Saturday, March 30, 1940 in Bible Grove, Illinois, the daughter of the late Daniel Lewis and the late Isabell (Brooks) Lewis. She married the late Donald Powell Sr. on December 9, 1957 in Covington, Indiana. She enjoyed her time as a homemaker, wife and mother. Evea is survived by son, Donald Powell, Jr. of Louisville, IL; daughters, Lou Ann (Billy) Cruse of Louisville, IL, Kandy McCormick of Noble, IL; brothers, Daniel (Pam) Lewis Jr. of Louisville, IL, Donnie Lewis of Flora, IL and Wesley (Louise) Lewis of California; sister, Clara Mason of Scottsboro, AL; 18 grand children; 7 great grand children. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Marty Powell, and brother, Bill Lewis. Arrangements are being handled by J.W. Neal Funeral Home, Louisville, IL. Per her wishes, cremation rites will be accorded and no services will be held. Memorial contributions may be sent to the family and will be recieved at the funeral home.
